Outdoor Window Blinds
NSS Luna outdoor window blinds are motorised fabric blinds that mount on the outside of a window, intercepting sunlight before it reaches the glass. Each Luna blind is made to a maximum of 2.7 metres wide by 2.7 metres drop on a 100 millimetre pelmet, in woven mesh or 100% blockout fabric, operated by a wireless remote.

Internal blinds manage light. External blinds manage heat.
Sunlight becomes heat the moment it passes through glass. An internal blind sits behind that glass, so the heat is already in the room, and the pocket of air between blind and window becomes a warm-air trap that radiates back all afternoon. An external blind stops the sunlight before the glass, which is why it works on the west-facing windows that internal blinds never quite fix.
Luna against a roller shutter
A roller shutter also stops heat at the glass, and Nu Style makes those too. The difference is what you are left with: a closed shutter blacks the room out and reads as a solid box on the facade, and it adds security. Luna gives you the choice instead — woven mesh if you want the heat gone but the garden still visible, or 100% blockout if the room genuinely has to go dark. Choose the shutter when security matters as much as light.
Sized for windows, not openings
Luna is capped at 2.7 metres by 2.7 metres, and that is deliberate rather than a limitation. A blind engineered for a window can run a 100 mm pelmet and sit tight against the reveal, so it reads as part of the facade. Stretching an alfresco-sized system across a window gives you a bigger box and a worse line for no benefit.

What are outdoor window blinds?
Outdoor window blinds, also called exterior or external window blinds, are blinds fitted on the outside of a window to stop sunlight before it reaches the glass. NSS Luna is a motorised outdoor window blind made to a maximum of 2.7 m wide by 2.7 m drop.
Do external window blinds work better than internal blinds?

Can I still see out through NSS Luna?
With woven mesh, yes — you keep the outward view during the day while it cuts glare, heat and up to 95% of UV, and darker mesh colours give the clearest view out. With a closed mesh such as Vistaweave MAX there is no outward view at all — that is the option for privacy and shutting a space off.
Will Luna black out a bedroom?
Yes, with a closed mesh fabric such as Vistaweave MAX. Nolan describe it as delivering complete privacy and total view block, which suits west-facing bedrooms, media rooms and anyone working shifts who has to sleep through daylight. With woven mesh instead, Luna cuts heat, glare and UV but keeps the outward view — so the fabric choice is really a choice between seeing out and going dark.
How big can an NSS Luna blind be?
An NSS Luna blind is made to a maximum of 2.7 metres wide by 2.7 metres drop, in one sheet with no joins. For openings larger than 2.7 metres, NSS Galaxy spans up to 4.5 metres.
Can Luna be retrofitted to an existing home?
Yes. NSS Luna blinds are measured and made to each individual window, so they are fitted to existing homes as often as to new builds.
Does Luna work on upper-storey windows?
Yes. Upper-storey windows often get the worst of the afternoon sun and are the hardest to shade with anything else. Access for installation is worked out at the measure.
Can Luna be fitted to a window that already has internal blinds?
Yes. Luna mounts outside the glass, so existing internal blinds stay where they are. Many homes run both — Luna for the heat, internal blinds for privacy at night.
How is NSS Luna operated?
By a wireless remote handset on a 240 volt motor, with an optional Orvibo hub adding phone app control. Luna is often fitted to upper-storey windows where reaching the blind is the whole problem, so remote operation is the point of the product rather than an extra.
