NSS Luna outdoor window blinds are motorised fabric blinds that mount on the outside of a window, intercepting sunlight before it reaches the glass. Each Luna blind is made to a maximum of 2.7 metres wide by 2.7 metres drop on a 100 millimetre pelmet, in woven mesh or 100% blockout fabric.

Sunlight becomes heat the moment it passes through glass. An internal blind sits behind that glass, so the heat is already in the room, and the pocket of air between blind and window becomes a warm-air trap that radiates back all afternoon. An external blind stops the sunlight before the glass, which is why it works on the west-facing windows that internal blinds never quite fix.
A roller shutter also stops heat at the glass, and Nu Style makes those too. The difference is what you are left with: a closed shutter blacks the room out completely and reads as a solid box on the facade. Luna in woven mesh cuts the heat and up to 95% of the UV while you can still see the garden, and the 100 mm pelmet sits close enough to the reveal that most people stop noticing it. Choose the shutter for security and total darkness; choose Luna when the window is there to be looked out of.
Luna is capped at 2.7 metres by 2.7 metres, and that is deliberate rather than a limitation. A blind engineered for a window can run a 100 mm pelmet and sit tight against the reveal, so it reads as part of the facade. Stretching an alfresco-sized system across a window gives you a bigger box and a worse line for no benefit.
